i'm trying to hold out as long as possible so that i can get my hands on the AT&T 8925.. rumors online was that AT&T would get it Sept. 3rd but now people say it's being pushed back to the 23rd.
Let's just hope it doesn't get pushed back any further, if it is, i may have to just give in and get the 8525. |

Remember that the mobile device team will want to test the new devices in our environment. Do not expect the devices to be supported right after the manufacturers release them. It may be another 30 days before you see it on My Technology.
I would be surprised if any unlocked devices were added to the corporate program. |

I totally agree about the unlocked devices, however it was on the list that I was sent. I'll see if I can follow up about them. I also did some follow up on the ATT devices coming out as there is a lot of speculation on when the 8925 is going to be released. Looks like ITS is preparing to be ready to support it beginning 10/1 so it should be coming out soon! |

Trust me, i'm in the same boat as you. One option I might explore is ordering the 8525 now and getting that going and then, assuming the 8925 comes out in time, returning it within the 30 day return period for the 8925. I just don't know what sort of red tape/hassles this would involve but could be worth it as I'm starting to see the need to have outlook at my fingertips all the time! |

Good find, I just don't want to wait another month I'm going to call today to see about the 30 day return policy and how that would apply to a new version of a phone coming out. I'll post any info I get!
edit: Talked to ATT Business support and they said it would be no problem to get the 8525 (or whatever) now and then exchange it for the 8925 within 30 days. They also said if it doesn't come out/isn't supported by Deloitte within 30 days of getting something else I/we can just return it for a refund and just pay for the service used. I didn't ask if there was anyway to keep the phone number and now that I think of it, that would be pretty important. I'll do a follow up and edit again. |

Just an update, the 8925/Tilt is out in stores and according to ITS should be supported very soon! They just have to get test models in and build the technical support info, but it seems like it's very similar (menu paths and whatnot) to the 8525 so it shouldn't take to long. I'm going to check every morning |

yeah i've also been keeping an eye on it, at first when the news was released it said October 26th and now it's pushed back to November 2007. Hopefully that date is really tentative and will change to an earlier date.
did you ever find out if we'll be able to keep the same # if we do a purchase and exchange? i wouldn't see why not.. |

| Ya if you purchase and exchange within 30 days you can keep your number but if you return it (no exchange) you have to cancel your account and lose the number |
