| Has anyone had any bad experiences using an SPG Amex card for hotel stays while on client travel? I know we are supposed to use our Corporate Card, but is there really any way that I might get in trouble? Has anyone ever heard of anyone getting audited? Even if I do get audited, won't they just say, "Don't do it again"? |

silly kid, everyone knows the fast track to getting SPG points is to submit complaints like a Jewish mother.

The goal is to get to the point where they start just giving you 1000 extra points when you check in to prevent you from complaining. I haven't made it to that point yet, but it's still a goal of mine.
Now if I could just figure out how to complain in such a way as to get Marriott to award me with SPG points. |

You get 1K for each stay and the Sheraton Waterfront downtown is also triple starpoints and gets you the extra 1K so you can get an extra 3K a Week.
Normal points for three night stay = 1000 swp
Triple Starwood Points = 2000 swp
Triple Midweek Points = 2000 swp
1k Remodeling Bonus Points x 3 stays = 3000 swp
Kiosk Check in x 3 stays = 1500 swp
50% Platinum Bonus = 500 swp___
= 10000 swp per week
If you use your Starwood Amex to purchase
Point per dollar = 1000 swp
Extra point for each dollar at Starwood = 1000 swp___
Total = 12000 swp per week
That’s enough for 1 night in Hawaii per week!!!! |
