Hi,

probably you all got the message, that told us that DTT will update to Windows Vista soon.

Well, when even INTEL decides NOT to upgrade to VISTA (they most know, they are IT specialists I guess), why in a world we have to accept to work with the plague thats called Vista?

Just today for example the Axel Springer AG (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Axel_Springer_AG) announced their complete(!) move to the Mac, which sounds like a very smart idea to me. If there really is need for special Windows software, it's no problem to access it via a Terminalserver (just maintaining ONE terminalserver vs. 10000000 workstations). Google (they must know, they are it pros - i guess) is the largest Apple customer in the world.

I just don't get it - why Vista? Why even Windows?
There is a ton of research material showing, that TCOS of mac systems is muuuuuch lower than of windows systems.

Imagine a green live where you don't wait ages for your outlook to come up!
What about a "pro-mac" petition at DTT? Smile

(b.t.w. if DTT would switch to the mac you'd probably get iPhones instead of those ugly blackberrys)

sure there would be update issues, too - but overall live would be sooo much better with macs at dtt + dtt would be the first big four moving to the mac. smart move, lower it expenses, .......

your thoughts?

Yeah instead of waiting for Outlook to come up we'd be waiting for Word for Mac to come up.

I use a Mac and Microsoft Office for Mac just isn't a very good product. The alternatives aren't there yet either with Office compatibility.
