New from the makers of ROOMBA, the robotic vacuum:
Introducing the RollBA!
This roll-aboard has no handle of any kind. It uses high tech stinko-vision technology to learn your unique body odor and then automatically follows you through the airport. When you reach your gate, it automatically seeks out an open power outlet (mathematically proven to always be located at the exact farthest possible distance from wherever you sit down) to recharge itself.
The RollBA is programmed to detect children and dogs as well (by smell) and uses powerful magnets to alter their flight reservations, bumping them to the next flight after yours. (The exact mechanics of this will have to be left to the engineers. I'm just the strategist)
Stinko-vision is not available in all areas. You may have to settle for RFID.
I haven't quite worked out how to get it to automatically jump on the x-ray machine belt, so that'll be a "nice to have" for R2.

| Does that Roomba thing even work? I think it's the dumbest thing in the world, designed to cater to people who are too lazy to clean up after themselves. |

My friend has one and it is great. I guess I am lazy because I am planning on purchasing one too. It's all about being able to multi-task. |

| I'll bet it would work pretty well on a hardwood floor. I find it hard to buy that it could actually do a decent job of cleaning a room with carpet, and I'm sure it just randomly misses large sections of the room. |

I admit that I have a Roomba and it works quite well for inbetween cleaning. My place has hardwood floors with large area-rugs and the Roomba has no problem going from one surface to another. In my bedroom, a lot of dust collects underneath my bed (platform bed) and the Roomba does a great job sweeping/vacuuming it all up.
I was also worried that it would miss spots but it is so redundant that it actually goes over the areas several times. It has only gotten stuck in areas with a lot of table/chair legs so I won't use it in dining areas.
Now, it doesn't replace real cleaning. I just find that I don't have to real-vacuum or real-mop/Swiffer as frequently. In all, I'd actually buy a couple more if I see them for sale/eBay; a little army of Roombas would be great. |

| My dad bought a Roomba for my mom a few years ago and she loves it. They have a German Shepard that sheds all over the living room and whatnot so my mom just tells the Roomba to clean when the dog isn't in the room (she tries to eat it) and it gets most of the dog hair up saving her from vacuuming everyday. |
