My jokes are much funnier, and I make more than all of you combined. I'm a whiny little bitch. Thanks for playing.

Posing as Yousuck, haha, nice one Antares... douchebag. There is only enough room for one instigator on this forum.

Nice one "The REAL Yousuck". I don't think you're fooling anyone. We all know I'm the real douchebag/instigator, so why not just quit the act.

P.S., This is really me. REALLY. I mean it. I promise, hope to die, stick a needle in your eye. Seriously.

Haha, another imposter. "Hope to die, stick a needle in your eye"? <- That was clever.

You're an idiot. I win.

Who else wants some?

.... a negro?? That would explain it!

Dont work with black people. Period.

What in the HELL does that mean??? Are we prejudice, ALBERTO??? By looking at your screen name, it sounds as if you may ALSO be a minority!! Which means you are one of the LAST people that need to be here discriminating against something you are ALSO!!!! It is bad enough that there is discrimination from ANYONE in this SO-CALLED land of equality and opportunity, but to get it from another minority???? If you are not a minority, and even if you are, there is never a good reason to discriminate against a WHOLE race of people. BELIEVE ME, if I were EVER discriminating against a whole race of people, I would not want to work with ANYONE of a particular race!! I can't BELIEVE you would post something like that!!!

so, it's a little late (from the date of the last post in this thread) but, just in case, I will share with you my letter of resignation from the firm...

But, before I do...some of the better reasons I have known for being fired from the firm:

Poor personal hygiene (v. v. nasty)
"relations" in the stairwell (not talking siblings, aunts, etc, either)
Mentoring partner let go/jumping ship
Being pregnant (gasp, sorry, not for being pregnant but for failing to survive under the microscope that pregnancy creates)
Not being creative enough to fill a timesheet

so...for the letter

Please accept this as notice
That I have no more energy
To battle myself
I have lost the desire
To head butt trains

Please accept this as notice
That there will be no miracle
I cannot/will not change
And my psyche has won the fight
The "potential" is trampled

Please accept this as notice
Of my intention to cease
Employment with this firm
At the end of one month
From today

Please accept
My thanks
My Best Wishes
So Long
so very very long

******

worked a treat, I actually finished a few months later, because I failed to date the letter, and really had nothing better to do at the time...

It all started one day when an auditor described their work as "a self perpetuating fallacy". Cynacism reared its not so unattractive head and I decided to do something worthwhile and fulfilling.

I don't know you, but I DO know what it takes to be fired from the firm, and the fact that you were tells me a lot about you.

I know only one person who was counseled out, and she sucked bad...

Trust me, you really don't what it takes to get fired. The threshold is quite low. Partners can be very petty, and have been known to discharge staff to cover their own ass. Obviously, I'm not going into details.

Incredibly petty is an understatement. Several years ago the firm deep sixed 60% of its marketing organization, after a rousing raly in Dallas where they were all told what a marvelous job hey had all done building up a world class marketing organization. The partner running it - an auditor - went back into client service. The club takes care of its own.
