Whats with the people on a project who don't eat?
I worked with a manager who I never saw eat lunch...and she would stay past 9 PM every night. I think she would have a bagel at breakfast.
How do you all cope with being on a project with these people? I always gauge how well a project is going to go by the eating habits of the people I meet on site. |

Like, do they ever go out to lunch or do they relegate themselves to the godforsaken client cafeteria every day? I frickin' hate those people. Get OUTSIDE for christ's sakes! |

I too judge the team by the food. Particularly the choice of lunch and dinner spots (outside of the Client Cafeteria, which is usually worse than my memory of my own high school cafeteria).
I have, however, realized that it's not really the "health" of the team... when I'm on a project like that I gain ten pounds guaranteed. I think I'd prefer some balance -- people who eat, but encourage healthier chow.
for the record, I don't think a double sushi special with thirty pieces is healthy. Maybe healthier, but not healthy. |

Serving size is the way I keep weight down; I'll buy the pad thai but only eat half to three quarters (rarely all). Simply reducing serving size helps a lot with weight...
...anyway...
I knew a SC who never ate. Seriously, i never once saw her eat. Granted, she was a hair-shy of being anerexic but who am I to judge? |

I'm noticing a lack of eating, but at least my manager leaves before I do (he/she also has to drive halfway across creation to get here and thus shows up at some ungodly hour of morning though).
I guess the next few weeks are going to be some lonely lunches at the in n out down the street. Maybe I should socialize with the people in the cubes near me - they look friendly (but they don't seem to eat either)... |

| Audit folks are famous for not eating. They slave away for hours without food, unless the highest ranking person in the room decides its ok to break for 5 minutes to eat. Thank god I am not in audit. |

I Second that. I'm have heard and seen a lot of Audit (including ERS) folks forgoing food. I wouldn't mind skipping a meal now and again but it seems a PM always to buy lunch or go out. |

| Well I can tell you that I didn't eat today (and someone even offered me food but I thought I would have time for it later) and I suffered the price so I am going to stop being a non-eater and I am going to stop being a "oh this nutrigrain bar should get me through ten hours of work" person too! |

actually I was in audit for 5 years, and I rarely ever eat. On a project I am happy to go on lunch with the team, but actually I hate eating at lunch cause it makes me feel tired after that.
My days goes like that:
get up, get the Pavoni up and running, cappucino, maybe a cigarette on the deck,
get a venti hazelnut cappucino at lunch or any other time
hotel, food, cigarette, mojito if I can get one thanks very much |
